The city of Larnaca, Cyprus
Larnaca is located on the south-east coast of Cyprus. It's only a 30 minute drive to Ayia Napa and a 25 minute drive to Nicosia. Larnaca was the diplomatic and trading capital of Cyprus. It was once an important city-kingdom known as Kition, allegedly founded by Noah's son Khittim who is mentioned in the Bible.
Larnaca is a modern seaside town with excellent shops and restaurants, several museums, a large harbour, a cosmopolitan yacht marina and a number of luxury hotels on the golden sands stretching away to the east. It is also the home of the island's main international airport. It combines both a city to live in and raise a family and a great holiday destination at the same time. It has a population of 68.800 and ranks third in size among the island's settlements, after Nicosia and Limassol.
